Rosa Loves… Getting organized!

One of my main goals for 2012 is to get more organized. I love organizing pretty much anything but my mail. I come home and most of the time it all goes into a basket in my kitchen counter. I pay most of my bills online, but I still get random credit card applications, insurance claims, letters from friends, etc. So my plan is to go over my mail, organize it, and file documents in a timely manner. While shopping at Rock Paper Scissors in Charlottesville, VA, I found the cutest clothespin clips and I decided they would be a great organizational tool for this project:

1. Question Mark - for random unsolicited mail.

2. Stop - for important documents such as retirement account statements, pay stubs, and medical bills.

3. Arroba - for correspondance that requires me to email someone or go online to resolve issues. I am also thinking about including business cards that I collect from blogger events, it’s the perfect reminder to email the fabulous people I meet.

4. Vintage Key - for anything related to housing or utilities.

5. Fresco - for the latest credit card bills, magazine subscription renewal reminders, and new accounts in general.

6. Heart - for letters from friends and loved ones. I must say that this type of mail is always taken care of immediately, but sometimes I keep the envelopes in the basket to update my address book, so this little clip will be perfect for that purpose.

Do you have any organization goals for 2012? Share in the comments, I’d love to hear your ideas.

NOTE: If you are interested in these particular pins, you can check out the Seletti catalog here on page 162 or call Rock Paper Scissors as I couldn’t find retailers that carry them online. However, wouldn’t this be a fun DIY project?
