Rosa Loves… Spending a few days in Charlottesville.
On Thursday morning, we went on a little trip. My graduate school advisor was giving a talk in Charlottesville, VA so we packed our bags and got on the road. We were able to catch up over several meals and yes, he showed a couple of embarrassing photos at the end of his presentation (what was I thinking with that hairdo?).
Here are some snapshots of our time away:
- Lola was a great assistant when I was packing and planning outfits for the trip.
- For about a week, I’ve been experiencing a strong craving for a strawberry donut with sprinkles so we stopped at Dunkin’ Donuts for a mid-morning coffee break.
- I had a few hours to myself on Friday afternoon before dinner at Zinc so I went to Sweethaus and had a delicious strawberry mini-cupcake.
- I also did a little shopping at one of my favorite shops in town, Rock Paper Scissors and picked up the cutest mustache eraser and a sparkly pen among other things.
- Of course a trip to Charlottesville wouldn’t be complete without a quick lunch at Revolutionary Soup. I could honestly eat there every day. It’s so good.
- We had drinks and dessert at Positively 4th St on Saturday evening. The French martini was the perfect drink for my last night in this charming town.
