Rosa Loves… The Tequila and Mezcal Festival at Oyamel.
My friend Anne and I celebrated the beginning of Spring by having lunch at Oyamel in downtown DC. Luckily, we were able to taste the special menu offered for their annual Tequila and Mezcal Festival.
Cocktail: Tangelo. Made with El Tesoro Reposado tequila with tangelo and fresno chiles in pineapple and lime juices. The perfect Spring drink!
Entrée: Quesadilla de chicharrones. Fried pork belly served with tortillas, chihuahua cheese and a five chiles sauce. Amazing!
Dessert: Nieve de margarita. Tequila sorbet with fresh berries and coconut foam. Incredible!
