Rosa Loves… Fashion Books and Pretty Roses.

My first full week at work in 2013 has been a busy one. I’ve been planning new projects, attending numerous meetings, preparing for upcoming presentations, and learning new lab techniques. I love my job but at the end of the day I want to leave those projects at the office/lab and try to enjoy my evenings at home. My plan to relax after work for the next couple of weeks involves two fashion books that have been sitting on my table. My husband gave me the Diana Vreeland’s autobiography over the holidays so I started reading it this week and I just love it. Grace Coddington’s memoir will be next and I can’t wait. I also couldn’t resist a beautiful bouquet of roses at the grocery store on Monday. I thought that the pretty flowers might help me enjoy my evenings at home even more and I was right.

Rosa Loves… It’s a Brad Brad World.
What’s the best way to end a week full of work deadlines, presentations, and laboratory safety inspections? Answer: An evening with Brad Goreski. Last night, I met with Erica to attend an event at Brooks Brothers featuring Brad Goreski and his latest book, Born to Be Brad. While waiting in line to get my book signed and to meet the stylish man, I was able to briefly chat with Alison, Lacey and Alison (not a typo, this is another fabulous Alison I know). Of course, Brad was as sweet as ever and we talked about sequins and bow ties. He also told me he loved my leopard loafers (I die!). After, I relaxed for a bit in the patio of the store, drank lemonade and ate cookies.
Oh and now I kind of want green pants after seeing how great they looked on Brad.
You all have a fabulous weekend!
